IFT - 1200 Pipe
Material Sheet Safety SheetIFT 1200 MW Pipe Insulation is a rigid mandrel wound stone wool pipe insulation
designed for applications from ambient to 1200 degrees Fahrenheit. This high quality
stone wool pipe insulation provides superior thermal and acoustical properties in a wide
range of applications. High temperature applications including refineries, pipelines,
power plants, chemical plants and manufacturing facilities can lower their operating
costs and reduce GHG emissions by installing this product. IFT 1200 MW Pipe
Insulation is non-combustible and includes WR Technology to help reduce the risk of
corrosion on steam and process piping systems.
All IFT 1200 MW Pipe sections are produced in one-meter lengths, increasing
installation productivity by ten percent over standard pipe insulation segments produced
in three-foot pipe sections. Pipe sections are split and conveniently hinged as a one-
piece unit up to 12” pipe diameter, or two-piece half sections from 14” pipe diameter to
36” pipe diameter. Standard pipe sizes range from ½” iron pipe to 5” iron pipe in ½”
increments, and in 1” increments from 5” pipe to 36” pipe. Custom pipe insulation sizes
are available on request.
IFT 1200 MW Pipe Insulation is certified compliant to ASTM C-547 by Intertek. IFT has
signed onto the Intertek Certification Program and is listed as a Certified product on the
Intertek website. Intertek certification ensures the product you get delivered to your site
has the same composition and construction as the samples intertek tested during the
certification process. This independent certification by a global testing agency like
Intertek provides end users with a level of comfort the product will meet the
performance criteria as stated on our Technical Data Sheet. All the data points listed on
the IFT Technical Data Sheet reflect the results from the Intertek ASTM C547
certification testing. ASTM test methods that have a pass or fail requirement are listed
on the IFT - 1200 Technical Data Sheet as a “Pass”. ASTM test methods that require
minimum data points are listed as data points on the IFT - 1200 Pipe Insulation
Technical Data Sheet.
